About Us
Joel Berman is a pioneering glass artist. His progressive, innovative techniques helped develop a language of glass and glass expression that forms part of the vocabulary of the architectural glass industry. Today Joel Berman Glass Studios is recognized as one of North America's premiere design and manufacturing firms working in architectural glass. The studio's work is present in some of the most striking interiors throughout the world. Notable projects include New York City's Chrysler Building; The Gap World Headquarters in San Francisco; and Disney's Wilderness Lodge in Orlando.

Design Without Borders
For more than twenty-five years Joel Berman Glass Studios has been a glass art design and manufacturing studio populated with designers, architects, and artisans from a diverse range of ethnic backgrounds. Embracing its diversity, the studio has succeeded in drawing upon the global influences of its staff members to create designs that defy boundaries and challenge convention. In reflecting upon the diversity of his team, founder and president Joel Berman developed a philosophy that he calls Design Without Borders. The message inherent in the philosophy is that by designing within a cultural mosaic, by embodying variety, and by embracing ethnic, cultural, religious and gender diversity, the result is design that challenges, excites, uplifts and creates unity. The philosophy is one of hope: that by using the universal language of design the end result will have a unifying influence on the lives of those it touches.
