Joel Berman has integrated historic building techniques and materials into his
three new premium handcrafted, multi-dimensional, kiln-cast glass texture designs. Bricks, Boards and Sticks are available in glass panels up to 52" wide x 108"
high, with varying thicknesses (1/4", 3/8" and 1/2"). With the characteristics of traditional building materials and varying degrees of transparency, Bricks,
Boards and Sticks are suitable for custom fabrication for a range of interior and exterior glass applications including partition and boardroom walls, office
side light panels, balustrades, wall cladding, moveable walls, doors and more.
Bricks
Based on brick wall building materials and construction, Bricks has interchangeable parts that create a layered sedimentary rock effect with a range of very fine to course grain textures. Select from a choice of six textures and brick appliqué options to create a custom three dimensional panel design. |
Boards
Based on a wood panel wall construction with the directional grain and imperfections of natural wood, Boards resembles a combination of plywood, softwood and hardwood lumber. The various grain characteristics and uneven number of altering layers of wood panels create a three dimensional design. |
Sticks
Based on a stick-built house construction, the design resembles stacked horizontal "Sticks" that create a three dimensional plane with uneven altering layers of closed grain wood textures. |
